mine's a 2070 crestliner/lowe roughneck ... it's got all the bells and whistles. it's the kind to get if you tend to get caught in storms ... I found out one time that those floatation pods come in handy

I have a 2472 Sea Ark center consol modified-V which is one of the better and heavier built jon's for big water with a 140hp 4 stroke Suzuki on it.

We played on the Mississippi for years with a 16' Lowe (40HP). Last year, we traded up to a 19' G3 (90HP). It is amazing how much more stable it is on rough water.

We had a 16 foot tracker with a 15hp mercury, with my son, two small grandchildren and myself it was loaded. I traded up to a 20 ft Sea Ark wilth a 15 degree bow and equiped with 115 hp Suzuki 4 stroke. The stability, safety and speed is not comparable.

I don't really consider my 1860 Sea Ark a "big jon", but compared to my dad's 1648 flatbottom it is a night and day difference. I have the 15 degree hull and it is plenty stable for the Mississippi and cuts through the chop really well.

I have been looking at boats have been tossing the idea around of getting a 20 ft tracker grizzly how do these jons handle a windy lake. I fish out of a v bottom now and am worried that I would not be happy with the ride and stability of jon but these boats have alot more room. Thanks

I have a 1960 lowe roughneck with a 70hp evinrude and it is great on big rivers although on rough or choppy water it will break your back.

I think I need to find someone with a big jon and go to the lake in it before buying one. Just do not want to regret it.
