I am pretty sure it was already confirmed as a World Record.

It has been entered into the State Record books already.

I caught a yellow bullhead when I was 9 that was over 5.5lbs on the old Zebco De-Liar scales that were always stiffer than what they should be to be accurate. When I first saw him, going by the size and color, I yelled "Flathead!" but when I got him on the bank, it was a bullhead!

I wish I would have had him checked out, I am sure he was close to 6lbs but heck, I was 9!! I took him home and skinned him with the rest we caught that day. There were more like him in that pond back then though, Calvin knows! It was in Garland's old pond!

Thats a big yellow! MN record is only about 3lb 10oz. I musta been catching brown bullheads last summer cuz I caught one that measured from my elbow to my finger tips. Mn record for brown bullhead is 7lb 1oz.

That is a good size bullhead, a 6lber is a big bullhead.
