Fishing early this morning on the Ohio; spotted a Big Blue Cat almost on the bank, not sure how to catch him without spooking him. Had a Rooster tail on small rod, tried to land it in front , but ended up hitting him on the head. He jumped, throwing mud everywhere, never to be seen again. Any ideas for when they are that close to the shore???
    Thank you
    Linda

I would say he was there feeding on the small bait fish early in the morning.

should have jumped in river and snuck up on him and grabbed him .... that would have been fun to watch.
