    I was at Lake Pleasant on Sunday with my brother taking the kids out to catch bluegills, catfish, and a little swimming..

    Check out this bluegill my brother caught on a ball of night crawlers in about 20 feet of water...
    * I think it is a blue gill, or at least a bluegill on steroids...

    ~ He should be able to put his name in the record books for a catch and release state record..

    My wife needed to work on Saturday so I could not stay the night anywhere... :angry:

    * So I ended up taking the kids to lake plesant for a few hours on Sunday so they can swim and catch blue gills...
    * That lake is only about 30 minutes away from my house.

    ** I wish I was at Bartlett though, it has been too long..

    That's cool at least you guys got the kids out, that is always good for them. I'm taking my wife and two daughters to Bartlett from the 12-14 of July. They will have a good time for sure on the aqua lodge.

    I posted this same thing on the Bluegill section and it sounds like this is a REDEAR sunfish...

    * I checked for a photo online, but I can't tell..

    * What do you guys think?

    ~ I guess I will know for sure once I send this into the AZGFD.. The current state c&R record RedRear is 11 inches...

    Maybe we could get Game & Fish to cross a flathead and a bass- you'd get a "flatass":smile2:
