I havent caught any bullheads, but in a public lake I have been told by a buddy that he took his little brother there and they caught them on crawlers. Where is the best place to find them and what do you use to catch them? I am going to try them for some flats this year.

Where I've caught them is in stagnant, stained water. If they are there, it shouldn't be hard to catch them, as bullheads are aggressive, and witll eat anything. I would fish for them as you would for bluegill with worms, and a bobber. I also catch them on the bottom though. In a large lake, they will probably be in a protected cove with no current. JMO. Good luck.
