Best time for catfish bite?

    i've read that between 5 and 9 am is the best time to fish. what do you think?

    i have had most my luck for cats between 10pm and 1:30am

    for carp 8:30am until noon

    I would say in the morning, evening and at night.

    Whenever I can catch a fish, preferably a Kitty, but ANY fish is better than NO fish.

    I fish a tidal river and it seams the tide is just as much to consider as the time.

    I would say.... summer: 8:30 Pm- Midnight then 3:00 Am-8:00AM
    winter: 2:00 PM- 7:30PM then 5:30 Am-10:10AM

    lol The best time to fish is any time you can get a line wet...

    Its hard to get your bait bitten by a catfish if your sitting in your house waiting for that "magic" time... if you have it, use it... go out and get your line wet... 30 minutes is enough for a fish or two maybe more to bite... esp if your fishing from shore...

    I have caught more fish from 8pm till midnight than any other time...If I had only one hr to fish for flatheads it would be from 10pm- 11pm.
