I got to thinking today, there's so many different methods to catching catfish, some good some better, and I always hear people asking "what's the best way?" Well, is there really a best way? and if so, what is it? There's those who anchor down and wait Mr. Whiskers out while others bounce from one spot to another as if chasing the bite, and then there's those of us who drift about with the idea that covering more water will put more fish in the boat. If you could only have ONE method to use on cats out of your entire arsenal of tactics, what would it be? What bait, night or day, anchored or on the move, bottom or suspended, Live or cut bait?

Chris, I would say anchored down on a steep rock ledge that drops off to deep water with a fresh cut skipjack head fishing a three way rig on the bottom. Vern

Live bream, deep proven hole, right at dusk, with the tackle to handle the big cat.

Nighttime with live gills or cut shad anchored.
