what is the best knot to use for joining 2 lengths of monofilament line?
I have allways used the blood knot ,in essence its almost like two opposing clinch knots tied on each end over the opposing lines,do a google search on how to tie it. I ain't savvy enough to post a link :smile2:
Use "back to back" uni knots.....
motion seconded, blood knot is the way to go
here is a link katfish ken gave me with almost every knot that i have ever seen.... it has knots for fishing, boating, climbing whatever....check it out, and you will find the clinch knot and any other knot you want, along with an easy to follow animated step by step directions for tying the knot...
I've used blood knots for years and have no complaints at all, but experiment and find the one that you're most comfortable and confident with. Stay safe and stick a pig!!!
Strong and low profile hwich is important if the line is going through rod eyes.
I use other knots... but the uni is nice.....
I use it also to make a "loop knot" to attach the hook allowing baitfish a little more freedom when attached to my leader.....
