Best Hotdog Bait

    HERE IS WHAT U NEED :
    6 hotdogs
    4 bluegills
    garlic
    vinagar

    takes the bluegills and chop them up into small pieces ( the mid section )
    mince your garlic and them put it in a big with the vinagar . let sit in the sun for a few hours and after that put mixture in the the holes of the hotdog and go fish !!!

    if you try this its one of the best bait ive used

    first i would like to welcome you to the BOC sounds like it'll work do you remember the little cut up hotdogs that were marketed by the STRIKE KING bait co wonder what happened to them

    Personally, I like the Oscar Meyer cheese dogs myself. Caught a few 4 lb channels on 'em. Maybe mixed in with your recipe, they might up the ante a bit.

    it sounds good but what does put the mixture in the holes in the hotdog mean. what kind of hotdogs you gettin.can anybody help me out wit this?

    you can use anykind of hotdog whatever is best for you . the you put the mix inside the hole you make with the straw

    As I fish park ponds alot due to convenience and use hotdogs until the gills rob too many, at one particular park which turned over killing everything this past August, I will give that a try. I will use tiny peices of hotdog on a tiny hook to catch bluegill as well and I am convinced the fresher dogs are better because of more scent. Maybe doctoring them up will add some success. Thanks, new member as well, long time catfisher. My nickname here came from my almost exlusive use of hotdogs with great success in park ponds, more so than natural settings, and I feel it is mainly due to stocked catfish having been fed grain and such in hatcheries.
