What is your favorite hook for the light winter bite? I have been sold on circle hooks for some time but haven't fish much after the water temperature falls into the low 50s.

I've had an opportunity to get out several times recently but have been stymed by fish picking the bait up and dropping it.

Anyone had better success with non-circles in cold water?

    Thanks.

I like the kahles and will down size my hooks when the fish start wanting smaller baits. The smallest I will go is 3/0. Normal is 5/0-7/0.
