Best flathead catfish

    Thats a nice fish earl, i caught my first flat last spring it weight about 15 20 i really wanna catch a big flat if scotty will ever take me. Hes jealous of me. Mainly cause Im better lookin. But thats beside the point LOL. Have a good one

    26 lb. on a cotton wood limb, Meramec River. A black cat, old timers called it a willow cat.

    37 lbs. on the missouri river. It was my first big cat too. got a pic on troutlines PB.

    well my little nephew you allways eat everything we bring by 10 pm then fall asleep around midnight on me then im starving and listening to you snoar all night long rember:smile2::smile2: as soon as the weather brakes if my home life aint turned upside down we will get together with earl and fish all night for a flatty or 2

    o ya just to let you know aaron you still owe me for the 2 yes i said 2 shad nets you lost in 5 minutes that cold january night .

    yes this old rod burner aaron is 1 lucky son of a gun when it comes to fishing tackle.

    put us 2 together is like a disaster waiting to happen hell earl bring your video camera you might just win the 100,000 $$$ on the funniest home video show.:eek:oooh:

    I have caught 8 that went 48 pounds and 2 that went 49 pounds. I have caught dozens between 45 & 48. I just can't break the 50 pound mark! Oh well...

    My PB is 31#, just started fishing for flatheads last year, but Scotty says were going to have us some fun in about 2 months :big_smile:.

    Now remember this is a fishing sight with allot of, well / real fish'in stories.
    So far I haven't seen any fish on scale's , have you ? LOL!:smile2:

    My personal best is the 25 lb'er I caught to help win the 2006 " Kill the Bunny tourny".

    my biggest flat was 48lbs i've caught tons of 20's & 30's and low 40's
    I use alot of live bait. But my biggest came on a 3in shad head

    I've yet to break the 20lb mark on my own flattie...it's ironic because my Pb channel is better that any flattie I've ever caught. Im looking to change that is year (course though, I say that every year:roll_eyes:)!
