Probably nice to let folks know where and how you intend to go fishing (ie... lake, river, boat, bank, etc..) Also, if you get more than one answer as to what the "Best" rod is, how do you decide who to believe?

(There is really no "Best" rod, reel, line, bait, car, truck, food, boat, etc...)

I use Quantum BigCat rods and they work for me. For $40 they're hard to beat.

J.P. if you have a Gander Mountain nearby, try their Creekside fishing brand catfish series rods. I have two of them and love em. They're white and work really great for night fishing. They got great action and enough backbone to pull in the big ones. And for $14.99 you can't beat the price!
