Best Day 'Gill Fishing in a Long Time

    The weather didn't look like it would be any good for cattin' tonight so I decided to do a little bream busting around town. I went to a small city lake I'd never tried before and I don't know if the rain had them fired up but I caught some nice ones for the freezer. Lost a shellcracker that had to be over a pound. He flopped off the hook and down the hill before I could catch him:smile2:

    Almost forgot, I also caught a shiner, he's in there if you look hard enough.

    Nice catch,I take it you are planning to use em for bait?
    It would be a shame to waste the bigger ones as bait,they are fine vittles.

    Believe me, if I didn't work at a fish market I'd probably have slapped them in some hot grease:wink: That and I wouldn't eat anything out of that particular body of water, lots of city runoff. But yeah, they're gonna be bait. Hopefully, they're gonna turn into a big ole flattie!

    I usually catch a couple buckets full at a time then keep them in a stock tank i got setup with an agitator,then i have enough bait for a few days on the trotlines.good luck fishing
