    I was wondering what is the best color of jig to get. I always get white or green and seem to do good. wasnt sure if a certian combonation works the best.

    Water clarity can have a big effect on what colors to use.

    Red and White, Blue and White, any color with chartues(spelling), black beetles and white beetles. This is what I was catching bream and crappie on last year. Sister was using red and withe and blue and white the other day and they caught 21 crappie.

    I pretty much use three colors, white, yellow and chatruse and combinations of the three! Light colors for clear water and darker colors for dark water!

    Bass = Black/blue, pumpkinseed, black, white/blue 1/8 and 1/4 oz
    Crappie and bluegill = red/chartreuse, salt & Pepper, white, etc.

    Also check around with some local fishermen if you know any and get a good idea what might be working the best in your waters, and also think about the primary food that the fish feed on such as minnows, shad, crawdads, etc. By doing that, you can have more success with using jigs for any species you fish for.
