Best bait for this time of yr

    What is the best bait for this time of year? I have tried live and cut chubs with no results, liver with slow results. I want to get ahold of some live shad but can only find frozen. What are you all usin? Please help :p

    Its been slow for me all year too man...dont worry the bite WILL come alive real soon. But for me FRESH cut shad has been doin alright and chicken liver has really been slaying them at knox lake BUT they were all dinks sooooo.....to answer your question nothing is really working for me either lol......

    ive had a good opening year with cut up blue gills, so far this year my bigest is a 12 lbs chan:wink:
