When you are using a trap to catch live bluegill/sunfish/bream, what bait have you found that works the best to attract the bream to your trap?

Rabbit food. There's something about that alfalfa smell that really attracts sunnies.

I put the pellets in a cricket cage to contain them, but just about anything will work.

I use oatmeal in a cheese cloth sack. It works good for black perch.

I use any thing that's white. it does work for gills. I use a cast net sometimes to catch gills. I take dry oats like you make oat meal out of. Start by sprinkling some on the water to attract the gills. When you have the size gills you want coming to get the oats, just a cast or two with the cast net and you have enough gills for a long fishing trip.
