has anybody used one of these rods, found one in a little tackle shop kind of reminds me of my ugly stick tiger rod(the good ones) 7ft with 8 heavy steel eyes but a very stiff tip.

Quantum makes a rod called "Quantum Big Cat"
This rod is Black with cork handles. I have three and they are great dependable rods.Hope this helps.

I looked a one this week at W/mart and it was big ca.I almost bought one but the wife said I had enough....So what do you do.
It really looked like the one you were talking about....About $19.00
Maybe it was a big Game Rod????

I always have a few inexpensive ones of different styles and brands, then I can match a better quality rod style to the cheaper ones. Ugly sticks are always a sure bet.

I've got a couple of these rods. I like them and have never had any problems.

I have a pair of Quantum Big Cat Rods with Quantum Iron Reels, spooled with 40lbs Big game line and Its a great set up. The reels are a little high geared, But seam to be holding up to the Missouri River currents.

Yeah, I Think You're Referring To A Quantum Big Cat, I Have One, A Spinning Rod. It Seems To Be Pretty Good Although I Haven't Used It Much Or Put It To The Test.
