This is follow up from my post last night stating that my friend Randy were going to Dillon Lake today-well we made it,but did not get a line in the water till 5:05.Fishing was slow due to no wind.I drift fish Dillon and as you drift guys know-without wind things can be pretty slow.We only put 4 fish in the boat by 6:30.I moved to a different location where we found a little breeze. We also found fish-we put 17 channels in the boat and quit at 7:40.Nothing real big-we had 6 that I would guesstimate to be in the 4 to 6 pound range. The rest actually run a little small for Dillon-but thats what we wanted. We released the bigger fish and cleaned 11,most of which are already somewhere in Randy and I's system. We used Shad for bait which are easy to come by about anywhere in Dillon. The new hatch,or at least some, are in the 3 inch range, which I like.It was a good afternoon of fishing.I'm kind of surprised that more folks don't drift fish.It can be a ball with a chance to catch a lot of quality fish.Good fishing and be safe.
