Ive been the past 2 days down behind wylie dam fishing off the new piers they got. Yesterday i caught 5 small blues and foul hooked a six or 8 pound carp. Then today i went and couldnt manage but 1 channel befor the older fellow beside me started killin the carp. He talked me into tryin his home made carp bait n i ended up with 2 buffalo carp one 11 and the other 17. Those things fight like crazy plus they had 4 turbines runnin for the 17lber. Just a fun day out there!! Im ready to get n a lil jon boat n go down river havnt been since last summer!!

I hear some of those guys on the platform are catching big numbers of cats by just using a Katbobber or just a big float and suspending a dead shad about 1-2 feet below the bobber and just letting the current carry it downstream.Said the blues and and occasional Striper are tearing them up.

They were buffalos the guy that was giving me the bait caught a common it actually looked like it put up a better fight n it was only 7lbs. I used to fish with dead shad under a bobber down there i just didnt have ne big enuff to hold up a whole bream in i lost another cast net tryin to get shad thats #3 on the year. I got plenty of lead to melt down though. There seem to be more blues down there than channels or bull heads blues are what eone was catchin yesterday morning.
