    well i had a few hours to kill today so i headed for westpoint , i figured they would bite good before this front, the bite was ok but i couldnt find any blues i caught a bunch of nice channels and 4 nice flatheads10-15lb. range the biggest being 25lbs i dont know what happened to the blues i guess they had lock jaw or i wasnt holdin my mouth right, one of the two. well i know you cant catch them at home!!!!!!!

    Sounds like you did pretty good to me your not spoilt from catching all those monsters.lol:0a28:I have been putting electricity in the out building for the last three days almost done just need to do a couple more things hard to concentrate want to go fishing down there.:0a32: God i need some stable weather no wind i don't mind if it's a bit nippie in your sons name Amen:worship:

    i thought it was perfect, little drizzle not much wind i just couldnt find a blue . they were prolly suspended im still kinda crippled in this little boat no depth finder or trolling motor ill be glad to get my big boat back

    looking at the water table the river here was still on a hard drop around here them blue seem to hide when it is dropping like that when you say you were fish the blow outs were you fishing the blowout on a wying dyke

    at least you caught some decent flatheads. blues are not the only fish in the river.LOL

    they have been bitin off small 5 inch shad whole pretty good.

    still not really getting "blow-out", watched the barges cruise up and around evansville and dont see them really leave the main channel? how deep is a blowout? would it be in the middle of the curve or the ends?

    hey roger there is one about 50 to 100 yds straight out from the casino ... some blow outs are made from when barges are coming around big bends and when they have to make a sharp turn and have to goose their engines and they wash out the bottom when they do it .
