I have been out to all my hot spots at Monroe this spring 8 times. I have caught many turtles but no cats! I have tried all times and a variety of baits. I am pretty sure there is a "big one" in my near furture, I'm due!

Monroe is easy to find fish if you've got a boat. Find one of those big, nasty, rocky banks. and cast out a gill at around 9 or 10 pm.
fish those creek channels in the idle area off cutright, and drift fish the main body with cutbait. I'd love to fish monroe more.

No boat I bank fish. I usually go to the input of Moorse Creek. Have been to cutright, paynetown and the dam! Won't give up...plenty of cats to go around!

    welcome to the boc rod..

i think the inlet to morse creek is where i fished a few weeks ago.. right there at a 90 bend in the road.. caught a 27lb flathead, couple small blues, and lots of channels from there..all from the bank at night, after some rain..
