Being new members, I am wondering what to do about the food situation for Saturday. Is it potluck? Bring your own BBQ fixings? I suppose there is a grill. What about electricity for crock pots and such?

Phyllis, I was planning on bringing some fish. I think I have enough to fee 20 or so hungry people. I will bring the walleye and the breading if someone wants to bring a fryer, basket, tongs and some oil.

You would suppose wrong on the grill, unless someone brings theirs.
    It is Potluck.
    Bring whatever you will need.
Covered picnic tables are there as well as some electric.

If there is somewhere I can plug up a crock pot, I will bring a big pot of bean and ham hock. I might even conjure up a big banana pudding. Anything else that might be needed let me know. What about paper products and plastic ware?

    And why is that?
In the last 8 years, I have only worn mine on the occasional formal get together. I figure at my age, there is no reason to try to impress anyone. Besides, never did learn to eat with them damn things.

Actually I have to go pick up some more breading so I can grab the oil at the store as well. Does anyone have a fryer with a basket that I can use?

I have an electric cooker but it isn't real big. Only holds a gallon of cooking oil. I can bring it if I need too.

I will bring mine just in case. I will be hauling enough stuff to set up camp for a week. We can never go to anything like this without a small walmart store with us. We will have every thing but the kitchen sink.. :cool2: :cool2:

I make the motion to elect Mrs Okie as the entertainment director for Gateway Cats. She can organize this shindig and make sure we have some grub to eat.
