This is my recipe for BBQ pot roast..It is a really good recipe and I just made some last night..Makes great BBQ beef sandwiches on hogies.

4 lbs bottom round or chuck roast
    1 teaspoon vegy oil
1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
    1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup chicken or beef broth
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
    1 tablespoon bottled yellow mustard
    1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
    1 tablespoon chili powder
    1 large onion chopped
2 large cloves of minced garlic
    1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme

I usually use a dutch oven but you can also cook it on a stove top too..Preheat oven to 300 degree..Brown meat in oil on stove top.Add all ingredients and bring to a boil..Cover and place in oven..Cook till tender usually about 2-3 hours..Occasionally turn meat while cooking..When done let it stand for about 30 minutes then slice and enjoy..
