yeterday i was bass fishing from my kayak and was dragging some punch bait around behind me. well i decided to move and started paddling as fast as i could.i realized i was dragging my bobber so i started reeling it in and found a 2 1/2 b bass had taken the bait:eek:oooh: . i've never heard of this before. i may try tipping my hook next time to see if it will happen again.

I have gotten into the practice of tipping my jigs with and threading my texas rigged hooks with pieces of liver, sometimes liver I've added garlic salt to. Bass and other fish bite so much more aggressively and much more often when I do this. I don't know if it is the smell, or maybe even seeing the blood and juices leaking from it makes it appear alive and injured or what, but it works. I always catch more and larger fish this way.
