Cant catch any cats because of the Smallmouth. I guess my bait must not be big enough. This is not a bad problem is it???

Hey Richie, nice post. I've been waiting for these folks to tell me how they only catch catfish. Heck I never know whats on there till I got it reeled in.
But I swear, some of these guys get the big blues to RSVP.....

Please don't use the smallies for bait, they are pound for pound THE MOST exciting, best fighting gamefish in fresh water, and they're much better looking than catfish. They just don't taste as good, so let um go!

I had to use shad 6 inches or bigger to stop the smallies from hittin even tho they still try I am sure.

    I have caught 6-7 over 14 inches.
