Hey Mel, "Way To Go"!

What kind of lure was you using to get that one? Because you may be on to something in that area.

I use a one inch rubber shad with a hook with a sinker already on the hook. If you look at my avatar you can see I had some luck with it. Caught 54 striped bass in 2 hours.

Get a Bass Pro Shops fishing catalog. Under the right conditions, they will bite just about everythhing that is sold there. Largemouth and Smallmouth bass eat just abouth anything they find that can't eat them. Fish, crayfish, worms and insects make up the bulk of their diets. Sometimes, you will do best using a lure that duplicates the food they are using (matching the hatch). Sometimes you will do best using something that really stands out, something different. Sometimes, live bait is the way to go. Bass use so many different environments, it makes them much more difficult than catfish to pick a presentation without knowing all the details. Good Luck.
