barts droppin

    according to SRP thay are droppin bart 1% a day right now two days ago it was 91% and today it is 89%. just courios what is the lowest everybody has seen the lake? for me the lowest was when u couldnt even get to ship rock.

    so it'll be 78% by next friday when we all go out...that'll be interesting...Does SRP have plans to do maintenance on the dam like they did at canyon a few years back or is it normal to drawn down like this in the fall?

    thay do it every year why i really dont now why when horseshoe is empty but i dont care when its low it gets all the reckreation boaters to go to pleaz

    mybe not but there is alot of good spots when the lake is a little lower

    I've seen Bartlett when there was only a small lake down by the dam.
    Rattle Snake cove on up was just a river you could walk across in most places. I have some pictures I'll post if I can find them.

    I was there back 30 years or so ago and all bart was a river. you might have got to ships rock but it was a canoe or jon boat:sad2:

    Here's some pics. of Bartlett taken in 2002. They were taken on a AZVJC. run back when trail #42 was still open. The area is just around the corner from ship rock. I was going to scan the old polaroids I have from 20+ years ago but after moving 3 times since then I couldn't them sorry.

    Hey Zona! I wish I could find the old pics I have. I've been looking! That road was brutal! I would have to tighten up all the screws on my boat after every trip when I got home.
