Barren rivers

    im sure no one has this problem back east, but here in new mexico (southren new mexico) the rivers are pretty barron. when the rivers are running (they are usualy dry) there isnt any cover or structure. so our rivers down here are usualy just silt. any advice to increace my catch?

    You may try using a float to drag your bait across the bottom and cover more area.

    Never fished in those conditions before but I would try to look for eddys or deep holes or riprap. Just anything that seems a little different about that stretch of river. Good Luck
