Being that I"m from the BBQ capital of the world, Good Ol OWENSBORO, KY, I like bbq chickens, mutton, and burgoo! And our bbq chickens are mopped or dipped, not bbq sauce!

"Underwoods" in Brownwood, TX. Just happen to have a picture of a plate from one of times. It's not only the BBQ but all the extras that comes with it. Including cherry and peach cobbler with real whipped cream topping, fresh hot rolls delivered to your table every few minutes. Including all the extras you want, drinks, price is right at $20 for 2 people.
My first time to eat at Underwoods was in Odessa, TX, 1956. It was a dollar a plate and the floor was covered with sawdust.

But my next pick is right here in town... "The Whole Hog Cafe".
The meat is some better but the extras doesn't come close to Underwoods. And it cost way more.

I think my favorite place to eat BBQ was pork ribs at "County Line BBQ" in Austin Texas. That was some good food.

We have several good Bar B Que restaurants in our area. We have the Famous 17 Street Bar and Grill,(Murphysboro and Marion) KB's Bar B Que,(Marion) Illinois. Located within a few miles away in Missouri is Dexter Bar B Que,(Dexter, Cape Girardeau) and Hickory Bar B Que also in Dexter. All of the above is a great choice. If you are ever out this way, check them out.

Nobody in my opinion cooks a hog or a chicken better then my dad.
    Vinegar base BBQ sauce.
I use the same home made sauce but it's still not pop's.

Best BBQ sandwiches. White Swan. Been eating them sandwiches since I was knee high to the family dog. Get em a sack full at the time. 10-12 of them.
The secret is the slaw. It's good country slaw.
Slaw goes on the bottom pork on the top.
Biggest mistaake folks make with BBQ sandwhich is building it backwards.

One from my kid days was called 'Huey's Barn' Located on the Lovington Hiway between Hobbs ,and Lovington N M. Best I ever ate. No longer there. Now its 'The Rib Crib' Clovis N M. Even serve Carolina style mustard sauce. Good stuff.
