Went to Banner creek 30 miles north of Topeka today with my son and caught some eaters.
All caught on secret-7 in about 18' of water in the standing timber.
Biggest was 6.5 lbs with 5 over 4lbs the rest in the 2-3lb range.
Went after eater for a fish fry tonight.

Seen a guy running a line that took two channles off in the 10-15lb range and one flat i would guessed him about 25lb.

Nice mess. 5 fish limit sorta sucks but always thought the "clear" water of Banner made for a tastier catfish. I missed the address for the fishfry myself.......feel free to send it again:smile2:

My son & me went back to Banner again today and caught another limit of 5 per person.

    All caught again on secret-7.

Fishing in standing timber 18' depth.Lost a bunch due to hang ups in the snags.
I also broke a B&M rod on a hook set.:angry:Had him on for a min afterwards but he broke me off with only having about 3' of the rod left.

Nothing big just eaters but a lot of fun on 8' Light action rods.

Jason (J-dog)caught a cat that had a messed up tail.Looks like maybe he had his back broke or something.I told him the only reason he caught him was because he could only make right turns.

Nice Cats Tom. I bet that was fun with some light action poles. I may take a light action with me tonight and do some fiddlin. Too bad I cant eat the ones out of my river. I need to make it to some clean water to get me some for the freezer.

I wish I could get a discount by buying it by the 5 gallon bucket.:confused2:
I do get it by the case, but it is the best dip bait i have used.

When they hit it,it's like a freight train.
J-Dog (Son) caught his rod just as it was leaving the boat.
Wish i had them reflexes like that still. If it would of been my pole it would of been gone.

I'am going with bigger rods tomorrow, lost to many big one's today with the light pole's and all the structure we are in.

But it is fun with the light poles if you can get them out of the brush.
