Ugly Stiks, Whuppin Stiks, Rhino, Cat Claw, other Berkley stuff are all fairly cheap but good rods for bank fishing. I really like my TICA Dolphin 10 1/2 footer for casting a good long way. Not so cheap, though....

When you say bank fishing, your covering alot of ground. I have everything from a 4' to 11' rods, it depends on where I'm fishing. Some of the rods I use are st. croix, dawia, browning, ugly stik, and bps catmax. Just ordered a flathead rod from catfishsafari, been reading some good things about those rods.
