Hi all my wife and I are looking for other places to bank fish on the Ohio(Indiana side), normally we go under the 231 bridge at Owensboro since my son lives there. Looking for anywhere up or down river between Evansville-Cannelton. Is the spot on the map I posted accessible for bank fishing near the Cannelton Dam? Wasn't sure if you could drive there and park in that small parking area. We may head to the Newburgh

Dam too, I've been there several times. Thank you.

Yes I've seen people fishing on that bank, it's the Kentucky bank. There is fishing on the Indiana side there too. Parking is closer on the Indiana side. Hill down to the water is fairly steep though.
There is usually current on the Kentucky side, that's the hydro side and they try to keep it running. Sometimes the current is really strong there. The Indiana side is behind the lock wall and is basically a giant eddy. You've got to hike downstream a while to find current on the Indiana side.
Good luck! Caught my pb at that dam.
