New member here, asking for some help from the brothers and sistas. Would like to take my 3rd grader out to the river for some river cat action. Have been fishing Evergreen and Clinton. Need some suggestions for easy river access and action. Not expecting you to give up your favorite spot just some suggestions.

Tight lines & I already love this place,

Pekin bridge is that the one on Rt 9? I always eye that bridge when I cross over to Mapleton to load and think gosh I could be reeling out a cat from that river instead of working.

:smile2: Try Shore Acres down from Chilli.Great access and the fishing is great, you will see some blocks on the river edge this is whee to fish as they hold your poles. You will need 3oz no roll sinkers and circle 5/0 hooks and use creek chubs or shad and you will take home some nice ones. There are steps down to the river and a large sand beach.
