Do you know of any good spots outside Kaw Point?
you could try the low head dam at 435 or grinter house
Kevin, There is also Missouri access in Riverside in the little park just east of the Argosy Casino. It's not a bad spot, easy to get to the bank, and I've caught several blues right there.
I bank fish quite a bit too, maybe we can hook up one of these days. In my experience it's pretty hard to find bigger fish from the bank in this area before late March or so, but that doesn't keep me from trying.
That's all helpful.
if you can get the farmers permetion to cross there land i did very well on flatheads and channels in the mouth and into the feeder creeks east of kc on the missouri river , blue , little blue, cook, sni and also of some dikes you can walk out on when conditions are right. i knew a few of the farmers allready but if you ask first and dont take a bunch of people and cause trouble or leave trash they will probably let you .
also be carefull if you walk out onto the dikes if a barge comes up river i would reel in and move off until they pass they leave big waves and can get you wet sometimes out on them.
There is pretty fair access at Riverfront park down by the boat ramp...
I did not know that...used to fish the mouth of Line creek before the casino went in and caught some fish there...thanks Gary...
Would love to head to the spot sometime when you go.
Do I hear the makings of a BOC Bank Jubilee? Shoot, I'll be there. Don't worry, I'll just feed the gar.
You are more than welcome.
Alex, Ill second that. I plan on doing alot more river bank fishing this season. Last year I did alot of lake fishing, and fishing the outlets at Perry and Clinton, but I want to focuse more on the river banks, be it , the Kaw or the Mo.
SKYNARD I SEE YOU LURKING AROUND DOWN THERE are you planning on doing a little bank fishing yourself?oooh:
I'll got with you even if you are a Jayhawker!!!
Anytime Kevin , Ill be starting up at the end of March.
It's a date then.
ANybody had any luck at James A Reed?
I've been out there twice in the last three weeks, didn't spend more than a few hours trying to get a few eaters. I was less than successful.
