Nice catch man.
My fishing at Baldwin has been pretty poor. Is it just me or are there a ton of channel cats all of them about 4-6 inches long? Everytime I have tried to bluegil fish thats all I pull in. Too bad I can't keep em and use em for Flathead bait.

A lot of damn little turds have flooded baldwin right now. Fish huge baits is all you can do to try and keep them away.

I been fishing a couple of times and have caught a couple of 10lbers. Been drifting the north end mostly with bluegill (cut and live). Been kind of slow for me... but I usually pull out at least one big boy.

I don't have a lot to report on baldwin with me selling the boat and all but my last outing was June 19th in the afternoon and June 20th in the morning in which we boated 18 bluecats and 3 flatheads in which I also earned my pb flat for the 3rd time this year. Not a monster but I don't catch too many flats speaking I target big blues mostly. Not going to make it back out for the next 6-8 weeks until my new boat comes in so keep me posted on the fishing at baldwin

Nice Fish again, Travis!!!! and congrats on your new boat, I've got an 1860 and I like it a lot. Do you guys catch your gills at Baldwin, or do you get them somewhere else? I would think that you'd have to catch them at baldwin because of the high water temperatures.
I don't know when the next time I'll get to go fishing will be, I've had a lot of B.S. to do this summer and it just keeps rolling in, but if I head out anytime soon I'll let you know and maybe we can fish together, being that you are waiting on your new boat and all. I'm always down for the river or baldwin!!!

yeah those 1860's look like nice boats I can't wait for mine to be ready. Sucks though it won't be ready for 6-8 weeks. Hopefully sooner. When ya go from being on the water 3-4 days week to zero it sucks bad. lol yeah I catch all my bait at the lake. Gills from anywhere else die right away seems like. Give me a shout if ya want to go as my schedule is empty on weekends for awhile now and its killin me. lol River is jacked so I'm sure it would be tough. Hopefully she drops soon cuz that river can be very rewarding
