Just moved to the Longmont area from Southeast Colorado. Anxious to try the catfishing up here. Doesn't look like there is too much competition. Looked up bait shops and found fly shops. Where do you get bait? Am looking for some shad or sucker for starters.

Im not to familiar with whats all in Longmont. But to get live bait I got to Gander Mountain which is in Thornton or north denver. But you can get dead minnows and such at Sports Authority and Walmart.

Where the heck are you getting catfish in Denver? I thought it was trout up there! Are they bullheads or channels?

Mostly bullheads and channels. Some lakes have flatheads and blues down south like John Martin and Pueblo
