I got a call this morning from Pam Granger{Rickys widow}.She was wanting to know if it would be alright if her son brought their Bait Truck up to the Landing Saturday and sold bait to interested participants.I told her that I had no problem with it and I am sure no one else would either. Her son will be their selling the bait, they have started a Bait Selling business called Ricky & Son Bait, she said that they had Herring and Shad to sell.I did not get a price on what they are charging per dozen.
Maybe if GatorT reads this he can get some more info out to us on this about pricing etc, whether they have threadfin or Gizzard shad.
She did not say how many they were capable of bringing so maybe if you are interested in some you can throw a count out here and maybe GaorT can kinda let them know what to expect count wise.
Hopefully this will be a good thing for them,I know Ronnie and Ricky were about to start this up before Rickys passing.Yall help em out if you can.
Thanks ahead GaorT for any more info you can pass along.

She wants $5 per dozen, both herring and shad (gizzard). And he'll have the bait right there at the landing. Easy as can be.

If we could get some kind of count for her, that would be a help. So, if you think you're interested in getting some bait, please post so we can give them an idea.

I know I'll want a few dozen myself.

And if anybody has any other questions, if I left something unanswered, just lemme know. I'll keep a close eye on this.

    Thanks guys.

Jeff and I will probably get 3-4 dozen depending on size of gizzard shad.
Ronnie you probably need to tell them to get there by 4pm or just a little after, you know how hectic it gets at the ramps.

Is it the Buster Boyd Landing? If so , I will swing down and pick up a few dozen , dependent upon size. This beats going to High Rock for the bags of frozen shad.
