Bait Tank for a Catfish Boat

    I built my self a new bait tank May 13-2006. I think it turned out great. We used it all summer and it keeps bream alive good but not shad. I only used an air pump which is good for bream. I'm going to build one for shad soon. It needs a good pump filter system. I usually purge all my bream in a 5 gallon bucket of water before putting them in the bait tank this helps keep the water in the bait tank clean.

    I made the Tank from an old drum which a friend of mine gave me. He gave me several of the drums I gave Dragger 2 of the drums and he made a bait tank from one.

    I used 3/4 plywood for the top and 316 ss piano hinge on the lid and #10 ss wood screws 3/4 of a inch long to mount the plywood in the drum and to mount handles and hinge.I used Thompson Water Sealer on the plywood.
