bagnell dam tip's for snaggin,first time.

    anyone snag below bagnell dam?
    if so where's the good spot's and any pointer's would be great.

    caught a 20-25 pound spoonbill last year on accident and want to do it on purpose now!

    If the water is running, fish seem to hold up closer to the bridge. When it's off, we have our best luck in the deep holes down river a ways. We do really good up there when the water is off, but had horrible luck last year when they ran all that water.

    if ya have a boat i would get on the lake its self fishing belowbagnall is terrible. get down to haiwatha beach i fish i catch down there avr 50 pounds

    I do ok out buy the old loadout wall below the bridge, theres a good bar there and deep calm water when the dams wide open. You dont get monsters but 35lb is the norm. Kidd next too me last year nailed a 70lber. There are still a few big ones left in the lower osage. Another good spot is the old lock and dam by jeff city just up river 9 or so miles from ( I think its mariosa landing) its a conservation boat launch by 63 bridge. Hope this helps.
    I hate being stuck in Maryland till april 4. I wanna snagg :sad2:
