bagnell dam catfishers?

    i did when i was stationed at Leonard Wood(88-93) used to do good drifting shad guts by the generator. does the other side still charge and is is it still owned by the VFW?

    yes i dont think there strict about it though,i dont fish that side much just because i havnt caught many fish on that side. im just stickin with what works for me.

    We go up and drift shad a lot during the summer months. Last year when they ran the water is the 30000 CFS range is when we did the best. When the gates were open and waster was in the 50000 cfs range, we caught a few but not nearly as many. Always use fresh shad for bait and last year you had no problems at all getting them.

    Do you ever catch anything big up there?

    the vfw side was good when they were running water. that side needs current to be productive the open floodgates would draw some fish and if they were close enough we would cast cutbait into them and catch catfish.
