bad start for the new year

    went out this morining to fish, the creek were i get my shad was frozen over. could'nt get any bait. had some big frozen shad (10-14in.) so we tried to fish. we did'nt get any bites, i no it would have been different with fresh bait. i've not caught the first fish with frozen bait. also lost an ancor, and got a citation for not having my fishing licinse on me. (What a day) dont guess i'll be going until the ice melts in the creek

    Sure glad I stayed home this morning.Got up and the temp was 7 said to myself this would be a good stay home and watch some Football.Never would of thought a man might see a Game Warden on day like today.Better luck next time.

    Look on the bright side- At least the "Family Jewls" didn't freeze solid, break off and fall in the river!! :smile2:

    sorry to hear about the bad day to start the new year. it makes everything seem ten times worse when it is FREEZING out! :sad2:
