Well had a bad night last night, got a call around 10 that the other house I own, where my kids live with my ex had caught fire. Luckily no one was home, one of my sons was here and one was at a neighbors spending the night. Major damage, kitchen and living room completely gutted, got into attic. The bedrooms are ok, so at least didn't lose all the clothes and beds. Fire Inspector said it was something electrical, possibly the outlet behind the fridge... Most things lost were things that can be replaced, appliances, furniture, tvs, walls...etc so i am thankful for that. Insurance will be out monday to get the ball rolling on the cleanup and rebuild....

Thanks everyone... It's ugly but things are slowly getting worked out...thank GOD for insurance..... I never realized how much a fire destroys even where it does not actually burn. The soot everywhere else is incredible...

Just seen the thread Mike,, Sorry to hear about the loss, Yeah them fires put some smoke out and the firemen destroy just as much, just to save what they can:sad2: Insurance will take care of it. Thank the Lord no one was there at the time, and all is safe. Kenny.

Thanks Kenny, yep.... I am very thankful no one was home....Also thankful the neighbor saw it so the main structure was saved. It was a real bad fire... I know it was bad, it was so hot that the heat coming out of the door melted the satelite dish .... And yes, I know they have to but FD broke out all the windows.......
