Another fish kill on Dunkard creek that feeds the Mon. My father in law said they found a 49 lb. dead flathead too.

Yep, it's called humans! Their waste, chemicals, and pesticides will do that to a river.

Those muskies are such a waste!:embarassed:

that is sick, it always seems that the musky's are the first to go, hope they find what caused that and they get a huge fine, the money then should go to a restocking after the cleanup, even thou it will never bring back those big fish that were already lost.:confused2:

That is certainly a huge trajety. The Pa. Fish and Boat Commission should be contacted by someone in the immediate area.

They're still trying to figure out what it is and where it came from.
They'll probably just give some one a slap on the wrist and a huge fine which none of it will go to fix the creek up.
Wasn't the first time that creek got screwed up. They've known for years that a holding pond for mine waste was gonna overflow and they haven't got around to fixing that either. Wait till that goes and that creek is gonna be shit if it ain't already.

WOW! Were those muskies caught and thrown on the bank to die? or were they found dead and aligned for the picture?

Either way, what a terrible sight to see!!

not to be a stickler but the date on the muskie pic is from February... where are the pics from? maybe the date on the camera is messed up, either way, fish kills aren't a good thing :sad2:

That's a shame to see those muskie like that. it would be hard to recover from that kill cause they stopped most of the muskie stockings in the Mon.The commission cut the stockings back cause they said there isn't enough intrest in muskie fishing on the Mon.
