Everything started off normal. Woke up made my coffee, checked the email and headed out at 6:00. on the way to work at the intersection where my work is there was a motorcycle laying about 80 feet off the road. I wondered why it was there then I looked around and saw a man laying face down in the dirt about 20 feet from the bike. by the skid mark on the road it looks like someone pulled out in front of him and caused him to crash then left the scene. I checked him and he was dead. I cant find anything on the accident on the web except a few forums where people said he was an experianced rider who built choppers for a living. Just a heads up. Look twice and save a life is a real motto.

hey man that was all over the news yesterday, I ride all the time. Look twice is no joke. I put loud exhaust on mine just to add the extra chance someone would hear it coming. When I went the dealership i told them I wanted exhaust so loud you could hear it in a car with the window's rolled up going 75mph down the interstate and me being aleast 30 yds away. boy did they laugh but i wasnt kidding.

It's so dangerous to ride now days, too many dumb a$$s driving on the road.... Matt, sorry you had to deal with that, I know it can way on your mind to be in that postion... When I was a kid, my friend and I found a homeless man dead in a yard when we were walking home from school... you just never forget it.... holler at me if ya ever need to talk..

But I've been riding for 30 years and so far (cross my fingers) have not been in an accident yet. I always take the view point that the person I see on the road WANTS to hit me and to fool me into a position to hit me.

Of course after moving from Atlanta to the country, I've had to switch from watching crazy people to watching out for Deer at night.
