we have between 1-3 chipmunks that like to hang around our bird feeders
this summer in the back yard / flower garden .
we got a large bag of peanuts in the shell from the bird store and have been watching them snatch them up and run them to their den .
today i got a good picture of the one ( not sure which one ) we call ALVIN
getting to be a little braver . they are neat to watch .

Cool pic's. brave little guy letting you stand that close.
We got a lot of squirrels in our yard that I watch all the time. My outside dog chase's them all the time . I got little over an acre fenced in. Them squirrels mess with her all the time. I think its a game they got going between each other. Now and then she catch's one and the fight is on. I sit outside and watch all the time.
She has chased them towards me, they ran up my leg and jumped off my shoulder while I fail backwards in my chair. LOL.
Also had many other critters coming our way since they started cutting woods down in my area.
Got several stories bout critters in my yard but I haven't felt like typing lately.
Speaking of skunks, I'll be back on that one.

Speaking of Birds . Blue Jays aint slacking when it comes to protecting their own.
last Spring I was sitting out back. About 5-6 little Blue Jays going for first flight. My dog was trying to get em. I broke it up,, rescued all, had to catch one or two so dog didn't eat it. I like watching some of the birds get after my dog. LOL.
When I grab the little Blue jay from dog, it went to squawking, about 10 Blue Jays attacked me. My trees was loaded with them.
One flew right into my fore head another clipped me from side and back. I went to bobbing and weaving, tucking and ducking. LOL. Then they went for the dog. They always go for the dog but it was first time I was ever clipped by a bird. Man they was talking their stuff and full attack protecting their babies.
here is a pic of the one that cause the whole thing. I did end up catching all and putting them on other side of my fence. That was my excitement for that day. LOL.
