backwater bait works for me...

    there are two kinds of bait i use. my own ,and natures.
    no.1 my grandfather taught me that the big cats will eat what is around them already and in this case and his was freshwater mussels. gather them set them out on a dock or somewhere in the sun they open themselves dry out and they dont come off the hook. always works for me.
    no.2 then theres my own recipe.
    1 can jack makarel
    1-160z cottage cheese
    1-12oz mild cheddar cheese (real cheese dont skimp)
    3-galic cloves minced
    1-cup turkey livers or chicken whatevers available
    and add flower to thicken
    the key to this is mix all but flower in a cheap blender(one to never be used again) put in a container that has a lid add flower (not self rising) to thicken the mix add lid and punch holes in lid to vent out gases let sit till it gets ripe then use or feeze

    Thanks for the cat recipe, might have to give that a try.After I get a second hand blender that is.

    its not required just faster to use a blender i have used a coffe can and a potatoe masher before
