i was fishing a lake in ohio yesterday for bass and only caught a few, it was weird. on our way leaving we stopped at a creek in the park that drained into the lake about 300 yards down. we stopped to check it out to see if there was any bait fish we could get, and we walked down in about a foot of water there were about 10 bass. i ran back to the truck with my buddy and tied on a jig and trailer and my buddy tied on a tube jig. my friend casted first and got one on his first cast around 2 pounder. i cast and on my first cast through i got a solid 4 pounder. that stirred them up and they swam way back down the creek. owell two cast, two fish weighing a total of 6 pounds! i was surprised they were so far up the little creek. i asumed they were looking for craws and minnows.

with all the pressure the perch jerkers are giving bass right now you will find a lot of fish away from their "normal" haunts. congrats on the catch.

In the two ponds on base here the bass and catfish are hanging out in water up to 3' deep. They are up there feeding on the bluegills.

Man just think if it was always like that, being able too walk around till you see the fish and then catch them. In the creeks you can sometimes do that with trout.
