i find it quite amusing that red bull dropped bill elliot after he failed to qualify last week. (the man knows how to drive, clearly the car wasn't right for qualifying) They picked up allmendinger for this weeks atlanta race and bill went to a dawsonville based car. rainout of qualifying eliminated allmendinger and bill is in the race with his champions provisional.

For all you fellow suffering Gordon fans my deepest sympathy.I hate rooting for him because he just has the worst luck although after all that happened to finish 6th just shows how good his car "Was".He and Mark Martin have the worst luck.I am trying to get Jeff a new ride driving the New York Yankees world series bus. They might get there if he drives it!!!  Jimmy Johnson di well and I think it will come down to the 48 and 17.So for us Gordon folks there would be some consolation as Jeff is his owner.Jr did well yesterday to hold off Kenseth, all in all a great race. The chase is close and exciting which is what it is supposed to be.:smile2:

Jeff Gordon had the car to beat if it wasnt for his bad luck and misfortune he would have won it I do believe.

How huge is the finish of the Talledega race looking now in the point standings! If Brian Vickers hadn't taken out Jimmie Johnson and Jr. on that last lap .......
