    I have a 35h.p. Johnson motor 76 model I need to set the idle up some how do I do that. thanks Sam Davis

    Sam it has an idle screw adjustment and i'll see if I can find a picture of its location and post it for you.

    sam ......... on that engine , take the time to check the insulation under the cowling ......... that foam insulation had a tendency to dry rot and small pieces would get into the carbs ......... still have a 77 ,35 ......... there is no foam under the cowling of mine now lol

    Look in the middle of the carb on top facing out on the front of the carb and there is an adjustment screw that is the slow speed adjustment. I would back it out about an 1/8 of a turn until it speeds up. It will take it about 15 seconds to respond to the adjustment on each turn so be sure to wait long enough on each turn and don't turn it out more then you will need.
