Ashley river

    has anybody fished the ashley river up by doechester, or any where up that way. i might put the boat in and go for a drive to see the area.

    Never boated on the Ashley, but a couple of my friends have been on it and say it's tougher to navigate than the cooper and the channel is alot narrower. Be careful and let me know what you think of it.

    If you launch at Jessen Landing watch out around low tide. High tide it's all pretty much OK, but at low tide there's a really shallow area right near the fishing dock by the landing and there are several sand bars down river that you have to watch for.
